Student's housing situation in Europe

The prices of housing are currently rising in Europe. As a student with low or no income it can be difficult to find accommodation, especially when moving to a new country. With this website you as a student can compare the living situation in different European countries to get more assistance in finding a suitable study country.

You can compare based on countries:

• the accommodation costs students normally pay,
• the financial difficulty of students,
• the students' dissatisfaction with housing based on the commute, condition, cost, and location, and
• what kind of accommodation students normally live in.

All these components help you to find the best study country for yourself based on the factors you choose. This can be done by filtering by the variables which are then shown around the map. If you are interested in one or two countries, you can select the desired ones, and compare them directly with a bar chart, and map visualizations.

Database:

• EUROSTUDENT gathers data on social and economic conditions in European Higher Education Area (EHEA) countries, providing essential indicators for evaluating the current state of the social dimension. The project considers national and European factors such as educational, economic, and political systems, as well as cultural norms.
